NYCSLA Vision Statement

The New York City School Librarians’ Association believes there should be access to a certified school librarian and a high-quality, adequately funded school library program for every K-12 student in New York City.

NYCSLA Mission Statement

Using a student-centered and evidence-based approach to advocate for NYC school libraries, NYCSLA works to support librarians in their endeavors to provide equitable access to information literacy education and opportunities to grow as readers and life-long learners to all New York City K-12 students. NYCSLA provides networking and professional development opportunities for the New York City school librarian community.
